Total Renal Care Announces Appointment of Richard K. Whitney, Chief Financial Officer

TORRANCE, Calif., Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Total Renal Care Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: TRL), the nation's second-largest provider of dialysis services, today announced the appointment of Richard K. Whitney as Chief Financial Officer.

Richard Whitney, 32, joined Total Renal Care, Inc. in June of 1995. Previously he held the position of Vice President, International, where he was responsible for the general management and development of the company's operations outside of the United States and recently lead the sale of this business to Fresenius Medical Care, AG. Before his appointment as Vice President, International, Rich served the company as Vice President, Corporate Development.

Prior to joining Total Renal Care, Mr. Whitney was associated with RFE Investment Partners, a private equity investment firm and Deloitte & Touche. Mr. Whitney, a CPA, received his undergraduate degree from the University Scholars Program at Pennsylvania State University and his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
