Benner and Burgess will join attendees from more than 40 countries to participate in this year's congress, hosted by the International Society of Nutrition and Metabolism, whose mission is to advance the knowledge of nutrition and metabolism in renal disease and renal failure and to foster communication of the advancement of this knowledge by means of scientific meetings and cooperation with scientific societies covering nephrology, nutrition, biochemistry and physiology.

The DaVita abstracts, co-authored by Benner, Burgess, David Van Wyck, MD, Kamyar Kalantar, MD and Chhaya Patel, RD, CSR, focus on the topic of albumin and mineral bone disorder management. Benner will present the oral abstracts during the educational sessions and Burgess will present the poster abstracts during scientific symposia. The Journal of Renal Nutrition will also publish the abstracts in its May issue.

"Those who care for dialysis patients struggle particularly with nutrition and mineral bone disease," said Dr. Van Wyck. "The results that will be presented in Marseilles are important not just because DaVita's clinical outcomes are impressive. They will show how to measure, organize and achieve great outcomes throughout the entire kidney care community."
